Lakewood School District Calendar 2026-2027

Lakewood’s public-school sequence was recently reorganized into age-specific buildings. The district’s published structure places preschool at Spruce Street School, kindergarten through grade two at Oak Street School, grades three through five at Clifton Avenue Grade School, grades six through eight at Lakewood Middle School, and grades nine through twelve at Lakewood High School. Instead of several neighborhood elementary feeders, students change buildings as a districtwide grade cohort.

Piner Elementary served as an additional preschool location during the final year of its lease. The current configuration consolidates those classes at Spruce Street School, and the present school directory no longer lists Piner as a public-school stage. Older documents may continue to show the former site.

Lakewood’s district responsibilities extend beyond the students attending these five public-school stages. Separate offices and procurement materials address services, grants, nursing, security, and transportation connected with nonpublic schools. Those administrative duties do not change the public student’s grade ladder, but they explain why district transportation and service information can be much broader than the public-school enrollment map.
