About Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District

Bridgewater-Raritan now uses four clearly separated grade bands across two municipalities. Seven primary schools serve preschool through grade three, Eisenhower and Hillside serve grades four and five, Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School serves grades six through eight, and one regional high school completes the sequence. Neighborhood consolidation begins in fourth grade, well before the middle-school years.

Each move changes the scale. A child starts in a relatively small primary attendance area, joins several primary communities at one of two intermediate schools, and then enters a single districtwide middle school. By ninth grade, students from Bridgewater Township and Raritan Borough have already shared one campus for three years. The high-school transition continues an established regional cohort.

This is a recent grade reconfiguration, so older district pages and outside descriptions may still show a different arrangement. Families should verify the current primary and intermediate assignment instead of relying on a former elementary name. The stable point is the sequence itself: PK–3, 4–5, 6–8, and 9–12, with a narrower branch at the beginning and full regional centralization by sixth grade.
