About Burlington Township School District
Burlington Township organizes most students in districtwide age-band buildings. B. Bernice Young and Fountain Woods divide the elementary years between them; the current transition grade should be confirmed during registration. Springside serves grades six through eight, and Burlington Township High School receives the townshipwide cohort. Students change buildings several times while moving with many of the same classmates.
Preschool uses a separate placement process. Eligible children are selected by random lottery and may be assigned to B. Bernice Young, Bustleton Road Annex, or Five Points Annex. The preschool site does not establish the child’s later elementary building.
The stable districtwide sequence is an earlier elementary campus, a later elementary campus, one middle school, and one comprehensive high school. Its distinguishing feature is repeated age-based movement within a shared cohort, preceded by a preschool lottery that operates independently of regular elementary assignment.
