East Windsor Regional School District Calendar 2026-2027

East Windsor Regional divides the elementary years into two age bands rather than keeping most children in one K–5 building. Ethel McKnight and Walter C. Black serve kindergarten through grade two. Perry L. Drew serves grades three through five, while Grace N. Rogers combines preschool with grades three through five. A child may change elementary buildings after second grade, and the correct later-elementary destination still depends on the district’s assignment process rather than on the school name alone.

All ordinary routes meet at Melvin H. Kreps Middle School for grades six through eight and then continue to Hightstown High School. The district serves East Windsor and Hightstown, but the high-school population is wider than those two municipalities: Roosevelt Public School District sends its students to Hightstown High School after the earlier grades. That sending relationship broadens the student body without turning Hightstown High into a separately governed regional district.

The structure is easiest to follow as a sequence of two elementary placements, one districtwide middle school, and one high school that also receives an outside sending community. Families moving through East Windsor Regional should expect an elementary transition after grade two, a full district merger in grade six, and a second institutional relationship at the high-school level for students arriving from Roosevelt.
