About Pennsauken Public Schools
Pennsauken’s regular grade ladder is built from age-specific stages. Baldwin Early Childhood Learning Center serves preschool. Carson, Delair, Fine, and Benjamin Franklin cover the lower-elementary years, followed by Pennsauken Intermediate School for grades four and five, Phifer Middle School for grades six through eight, and Pennsauken High School.
Roosevelt STEM Academy creates a different route. It is organized as a K–8 school and uses a separate application process, allowing admitted students to remain in one STEM-focused setting instead of moving through the district’s intermediate and middle-school sequence. Its presence should not be used to infer that every Pennsauken child can select any K–8 campus.
The district also lists Burling as a grades 6–12 alternative setting. That placement has a specialized purpose and is not another ordinary feeder branch. For most residents, the planning sequence is lower elementary, Pennsauken Intermediate, Phifer, and the high school; Roosevelt and Burling require separate attention because their entry mechanisms differ.
