About Washington Township Public Schools
Washington Township publishes one of the clearer residence-based feeder maps in this group. Its six K–5 elementary schools are organized as three sister-school pairs: Birches and Whitman feed Bunker Hill Middle School; Hurffville and Wedgwood feed Chestnut Ridge; Bells and Thomas Jefferson feed Orchard Valley. Each middle school serves grades six through eight, making the elementary address relevant through the first secondary assignment.
The three middle-school branches meet at Washington Township High School. This is one comprehensive high school, not separate schools for different parts of town, although the large campus maintains distinct 9/10 and 11/12 administrative and facility sections. Students remain within one high-school organization as they move from the lower-grade side to the upper-grade side.
Preschool follows a different map. The district may use its own classrooms, Head Start, and approved provider sites as funding and capacity allow. A preschool site does not predict the later K–5 assignment: the current placement notice governs early childhood, while the residence-based feeder map governs kindergarten onward.
