About Wayne Township Public Schools
Wayne keeps geographic assignment active through all three K–12 stages. Nine K–5 elementary schools lead into Anthony Wayne, George Washington, or Schuyler-Colfax Middle School for grades six through eight, and the township then divides between Wayne Hills High School and Wayne Valley High School. With three middle schools and two high-school attendance areas, the secondary structure is not a simple one-middle-to-one-high ladder. The district’s locator and resident-school record are the reliable way to establish the full sequence for an address.
Preakness Early Childhood Center sits outside that feeder chain. Preschool placement requests are handled through a separate, capacity-dependent process, while kindergarten begins the residence-based K–12 route. A child may receive one early-childhood site and a different elementary assignment without receiving any exception to the district’s attendance rules.
