Franklin Township Public Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Franklin Township distributes preschool more widely than the name Early Childhood Development Center suggests. ECDC serves Pre-K3 only, while the district’s seven elementary schools serve preschool through grade five and community providers also participate in the early-childhood system. A preschool placement does not automatically identify the child’s later elementary building, and ECDC is not the single entry point for all young learners.

After grade five, students attend Franklin Middle School at one of two campuses: Hamilton Street or Sampson G. Smith. Both campuses serve grades six through eight and use the Franklin Middle School identity, but they are separate daily destinations with their own staff, events, and family communications. The correct campus depends on assignment rather than family preference.

The two middle-school groups reunite at Franklin High School for grades nine through twelve. The district’s structure is distributed at the beginning, divided into two parallel campuses in the middle, and unified at the end. Families should keep three questions separate: where preschool is delivered, which PK–5 school serves the residence, and which Franklin Middle School campus is assigned for grades six through eight.
