Hamilton Township School District Calendar 2026-2027

Hamilton Township in Mercer County does not funnel every student into one districtwide secondary route. Its elementary network leads into three middle schools—Crockett, Grice, and Reynolds—and then three comprehensive high schools: Hamilton High School West, Nottingham High School North, and Steinert High School East. A township address can remain relevant well beyond the first school assignment, so the useful question is the complete elementary–middle–high sequence attached to the residence, not simply which elementary building is closest.

The district also preserves a narrow continuity exception for some students who move within Hamilton. A student in good standing who is entering grade 5, 8, or 11 may petition for a zone waiver to remain at the former school through the next promotion or graduation point. That process does not create open enrollment across the district’s secondary schools; it is a limited response to an in-town move. New residents should begin with the school finder, while households changing addresses inside the township may need to compare the new assignment with the waiver rules before assuming that a school transfer is automatic.
