About Millville Public Schools
Millville operates a citywide public-school ladder that includes an early-childhood center, five elementary schools, Lakeside Middle School, and Millville High School. City students move from the elementary network into one common middle school and then one common high school.
The high-school cohort is larger than the city district alone. Commercial Township, Lawrence Township, and Maurice River Township maintain separate earlier-grade districts and send their high-school students to Millville. Grade nine is thus a routine progression for Millville residents but a governance handoff for students arriving from the three sending districts. Their calendars, registration contacts, course requests, activities, and transportation responsibilities change at the same time that they join the larger high-school population.
Positive Change Academy and other specialized settings should be distinguished from the ordinary feeder ladder. The standard structure is a local elementary and middle route for Millville children, followed by a high school that also serves surrounding K–8 communities.
