About Pascack Valley Regional High School District
Pascack Valley Regional begins at grade nine and receives students from four separately governed K–8 districts. The municipality determines the regular high-school campus: Hillsdale and River Vale students enter Pascack Valley High School, while Montvale and Woodcliff Lake students enter Pascack Hills High School.
The handoff after eighth grade changes the governing district as well as the campus. Registration, board governance, calendars, course selection, transportation coordination, athletics, and family systems move from the local K–8 district to Pascack Valley Regional. Each incoming-grade page is organized around the two communities assigned to that high school, making municipal residence the key to the regular ninth-grade destination.
